there's a storm a comin'

just as i was heading out the door, my mom mentioned something about the chance of rain later tonight. it hasn't rained in a couple weeks, and it's starting to get hot again, so rain would be very welcome. after yesterday's long run, i wasn't sure how i'd feel, but i was lighter than i expected. i ran at henderson park, as usual. this felt more like 6:15 effort, which probably converts to 6:30ish trail pace. i just felt strong and decided to push it. finished the last mile in 5:48.
during the run, i felt the rain starting to come on. the sky darkened and i could just feel it in the air. by the time i got home it was really windy, and the clouds were gathering. i sat on the front lawn and stretched, so that i could watch the storm build. it was a cool experience. i got it into my head that i wanted to watch it start raining while lying on the ground, so that the rain was falling straight at me. some abs while waiting for the rain to start. it was neat to see the rain coming right at me. then i went inside to finish abs (6x40, 2min plank, hips x20)
