Exercise Type: Run
Comments:
ran after dentist appt and emissions check. the thermometer, which was in the shade, read 98.4 degrees before i left. so i planned a water stop in my run. i couldn't think of anywhere else to run today, so i ended up on the roads. it was probably the first all-road run i've done in a while. anyway, the first half went through the neighborhoods by evansdale, then along chamblee-tucker by the QT and CVS. my house was at about 4.75 miles in. came through in 30:30. water was refreshing and much-needed; i poured some on my head and neck too cool off a bit. second half went along the usual 8-mile loop until henderson road, where i turned left, hit a cross street to midvale, then took lavista to chamblee tucker back home. i don't usually run such heavily trafficked roads (i.e. lavista and chamblee tucker), but it was fine for today. there was enough shade to make it bearable, and i had hydrated enough to survive. finished pretty strong i think. i just wanted it to be over. i really dislike running on the roads when it's so hot.
got back. my knees and feet hurt. stretched while watching austin play modern warfare. planks 4 x1', hips x20.
