felt really tired and felt like i was going to throw up all day. i've been sealing the walls of my basement with this thick white paint for the past couple days and i think the fumes of it are starting to make me sick. procrastinated this run all day because i felt like crap and my legs were so sore from doing some biggest loser workout dvd with rachael yesterday. jilian michaels, you suck... finally headed out at night to attempt the tempo but was willing to take an easy day if my legs were crap after the first couple miles. took the warm up super easy to conserve myself and had to poop sooo bad after it. so i did. then i started my tempo, being conservative for the first couple miles to make sure i had enough for the end. after mile 3 of the tempo i picked it up and went a little too fast on the 4th mile but had enough to hold on for the last mile. after the tempo i immediately had to poop again, so i did. cool down felt easy - again it was faster than my warm up. my legs werent crazy tired at all, just a little sore. overall, i was pretty happy with my workout, considering how sick i felt today. this 5 mile time is faster than i ever ran in races my freshman and sophmore year, and was about this fast half way through last year - yet it didn't feel like i was ever pushing 100%. in this exact same workout last summer, i ran the 5 mile tempo at 5:57 pace. can't wait for this season!
