very disappointing

So I used to think that my schedule was kind of perfect for training because I could wake up and run. It worked out really well for marathon training because I never had to go all that fast. As long as I got the miles in, I was happy. But for half-marathon training I actually need to do workouts, and running in the middle of the day is making that difficult. I woke up and ate around 9:30, then thought I'd try to do a tempo run around 11:30.... while it was around 90 degrees. So that just didn't happen. Ran a couple miles at tempo pace and then just stopped because there was no way my body could do it. Just one of those days where your legs are fine but you have zero energy. Sleeping in a sauna of a room with no air conditioning probably isn't helping. Hopefully I get a cool day this week to get a good tempo in and then a good long run on Sunday.
