Towards NP Long Run

July 24, 2011 (Morning)

Exercise Type: Run

Comments:
Hip still not 100% but I needed to get in long runs b/c that is the most important thing in my training. I'll probably do some intense cross-training the next few days to ensure I get back to 100% and stay in shape. Running today I could feel some minor aggravation, but it was nothing serious.

Up at 6am out the door at 620. Didn't eat enough before this run and I was hungry the whole time. I still felt strong for most of this run. The last 4ish miles I was starting to wear down and the hill were posing a problem. I've experienced this problem the last 3 weeks, but I'm not concerned at all. I'm supposed to be tired at this point b/c my mileage is high and training fairly intense. The taper 2 weeks before will make the difference to keeping fast at the end of the race.

I mapped out a pretty cool and different course so that kept me interested for 2+ hours.
