bring on the rain!

set out around 6 to run. i was feeling better than yesterday-- a little fresher. denis said "don't get too wet!" to which i replied "it's not going to rain until a while later, don't worry"
ran the same route as yesterday, but faster. i felt good, despite the heat. started out 6:40ish. saw some dogs. ran. about 6 miles in, the sky darkened, the wind picked up, and it started thundering. it's been a long time since i've run in the rain. i was excited. as i was leaving the park, the rain started. closed the last mile sub-6, and by the time i got back it was pouring and thundering like mad. i walked around in the driveway just enjoying the storm. it was pretty epic. stretch, some pt later.
