Comments:
Ran on the treadmill for 30 minutes. Completed 8 laps or two miles. I power walked laps 1,4,and 7 and ran the other five laps. So I basically ran a total of a mile and a half.
I had never actually run on the treadmill before, as I was always afraid I might fall, but I am glad I tried it. It was much easier to track my progress and set small goals because I could see exactly where I was on my journey. Running on an outdoor trail this isn't quite as easy because you can't stare at your pedometer or your stopwatch the entire time.
I also lifted weights for half an hour, working legs, arms, and abs with two different exercises on each muscle group.
