So, I was running with my new shoes.
Around 400m in, I began to feel pain in my left big toe again; this persisted until around 1/2 of the way into my run (1.6 or so miles in). Unfortunately, for part of the time I had to run on the grass, as apparently there was a party along one of the streets that I ran on, and cars lined the streets while more were searching for parking (so I ran on the grass to avoid the cars). I didn't really have any major problems, and walked ~400m as a cooldown. I used this iMapMyRun+ thing with my phone (and its somewhat-OK GPS) to keep track of the distance and all; looking at the picture it drew afterwards, it prettyaccurately determined where I had gone.
I only had about 120m rise in elevation total (and a corresponding ~120m fall--not exactly measured; just by the graph), which is expected because most streets around my area are fairly flat.
The shoes were pretty fine until ~3/4 of the way into the run, when the inside of the right shoe was kind of pinching my foot a bit. I'll have to gather more data from my next run, and see if I can do anything about it.
