Exercise Type: Run
Comments:
So I think the thing I'm most afraid with starting running again is stopping running again. I like to run. I like to be in shape. I like to be FAST. But all that takes a considerable time commitment that doesn't leave room for a lot of mistakes or for any laziness. Running is not for the faint of heart.
The second thing I'm most worried about is getting hurt. I'm making sure I have yogurt and milk at least once a day, and I want to get some calcium supplements to take, but it's hard to put in a bunch of effort with the knowledge in the back of your mind that it could all be knocked down to zero again with one bad injury.
Trust and faith I guess.
I was definitely feeling yesterday's run today. My lower body was very sore and achy, but I went slow and just kept on chugging. I felt better as the run went on, and my striders at the end of the run went well.
Today was a 12 song day again. I like using music as a mile-keeper, in a sense. Especially out here in the northwoods where there aren't well defined routes, and not a lot of running buddies.
I'm trying to figure out whether I want to keep shooting for around 50 minutes a day for the foreseeable future here, or vary it a bit. I don't know. I just know I want to keep on running.
