track workout again today. 5x 1mile w/ 1' rest. hella lot faster than when we did mile repeats earlier this year, and less rest. i didn't expect coach to ask us to do them so fast, and i was kinda surprised afterwards that i made it through. started easy, in 5:10, then dropped to 5:06, i led the third in a 5:02, next was a 5:01, the last one was tough, and e-town killed it, but we got strung out and i ran a 5:01. i was really happy with this workout. i felt relaxed, i was breathing well, and it bodes very well for next saturday. i'm real excited.
jogged back to veale, did a couple laps on the indoor track, then went down to the pool with the team to do some breathing exercises.
it felt really good-- kinda loosened me up, i got into a good rhythm, and had fun. back upstairs for some static 1 and rolling, then headed out.
i'm happy with the workout, with where i am right now, and with where the team is. i feel good about this group of guys. we're gonna surprise some people next week.
