Exercise Type: Run
Comments:
tempo on mlk. did the split up version, 15-10-5, coach told me to go with chris wade. mitchell stayed with us for most of it too, and brandon and wyatt did the first section with us. it went pretty well. i felt like i was tempoing, whereas last week when we did those miles i felt like i was running too hard. just felt better today i guess. we did the first 15 at around 6:00ish pace. it was getting darker, and the rain was misty. then we turned around, i cleaned my glasses and could see, and we picked it up a little bit. we went around 5:40 pace for the rest of the workout. chris noticed i was kind of leaning forward, like hills on saturday, so i tried to correct it. maybe i need to do more abs? then headed to the track to do 2 400's, and i did them in 71 and 72. it was supposed to be 5k goal pace, which is more like 74's for me, but oh well. a little fast won't hurt. then lifted. and all the essentials. pushed hard during lifting, because even though i'm upstairs i still want to get stronger. before leaving talked quickly to coach about this weekend, not going to race, which i guess is okay. i would have liked to do a 3k, but there isnt one, so i'll just show up in a week and a half at cmu to do some work. running my race, the 5k!
