hard workout over hurdles

in the past few weeks, when i've done workouts over hurdles, i felt like, because i wasn't going very fast, it wasn't a very hard workout, and i was going slower and not getting a lot out of it. today was different. chris led out all the intervals, and that helped to pull me along. the workout was 3x [800, 400, 200, 200] with equivalent jog recovery between, and 5min btwn sets(400 jog).
it was pretty exhausting. but the hurdles felt a lot better than they have in the past. here are the splits:
2:32, 66, 28,27
2:32, 65, 27,27
2:32, 66, 27, 28
mile barefoot on the field, mile back to veale.
lift day 1, static1, ibisx40, icebath.
