Altoona and Punxsutawny

Comments:
At the Altoona meet, I ran the mile and a 4x400. I was pretty nervous for the mile because I hadn't raced since cross country season. I got out slowly, and though I tried to keep up with Emily Smith, I quickly fell to the back of the pack. My second and third laps seemed better, but I had trouble finding any energy left to kick. I ended up with a 7:50 mile, which would be an average mile split for me if I was running a 5k.( Too bad I wasn't.) I felt slower than usual, so I'm going to get my iron levels checked again. I've had anemia in the past, and it might explain my poor performance. Overall, it's a major bummer coming in last, but I'm familiar with it.
