Mercer Island Half Marathon

Weather: 40's, overcast, a few sprinkles

Comments:
Going into this race, I wasn't sure if I could even run 13.1 miles. My longest run leading up to it was 5.5 miles. So I took it out very easy: 8:15-8:30 pace. Around the halfway point, I realized that I felt great and finishing wouldn't be a problem. So I did some math, figured out that I could PR, and dropped my pace.

There were some rolling hills. I was happy with my uphills and downhills both. Focusing on hills on previous runs definitely gave me a confidence boost on them.
