Exercise Type: Run

Comments:
Good and bad. It was supposed to be a "low mileage, high intensity day" I was going to run a mile at full intensity, recover and then do it again. Well, I started out too fast and I had to walk for a minute about 3/4 of the way into the mile. If I had been able to maintain my speed, I think my time would have been closer to 9:00. Anyway, I am still happy with my time and it would be a great pace if I could run the 5k at that speed. Anyway, when I finished, I was exhausted so I rested/walked/sat/stretched for a while (15 or 20 minutes) until I felt back to normal. I was going to pace myself a little bit better the second time, hoping to run the first half mile in 5 minutes and the second half mile in 4-4:30. Unfortunately, as I started running, it became abundantly clear that I was not as well rested as I had thought, and I quit after about 60 seconds. I really should have finished the mile, even if it would have taken me 12 or 13 minutes. One of the main purposes of this log was to make sure I kept going since I did not want to quit "in front of" everyone who is reading this. Clearly it is not working that well... I'm going to keep using it though.
