Comments:
A 1000m interval goes by pretty quickly.
The first two felt pretty crappy. We were sort of out of control and went too fast. I was a couple seconds behind the group and still like 2:54. Second one was pretty quick too. But after that I settled into a rhythm. Just staying with Tim, we were really consistent and found our groove at about 2:58-3:00, never going above 3:00. The last one felt like the fastest, we pushed really hard but still ended up at like 3:01 lol. But overall it was good, I felt quick and mentally strong.
I can definitely feel the difference between a base workout and a v02 workout. Base workouts like tempo gives you a gradual onset of aching in your legs and breathing should always be under control. A speed workout hits you hard from the start, shocking the system, and constantly throws your breathing out of control.
