Wanted to do 10x800 with 1:00 rest in high 2:20s to see where I'm at for the race this weekend. After four repeats my calves started to hurt and after six repeats I decided I had to stop with the 800s or else I would risk injuring myself for Saturday. At this point the workout had been so easy that I felt I needed to get more work in despite my calves. I decided to slow the pace down and do the last couple miles of the workout at tempo pace. Even this hurt too much so I stopped after a mile. I guess my legs just haven't recovered yet from that snow workout last Thursday. I think I'll be fine for the race this weekend as long as I don't do anything other than easy running for the rest of the week
