Comments:
Did about 3 miles to warm up then did 8 repeats of a 200-250m long segment of the Jersey City boardwalk at about mile pace with about 1:00 rest (didn't have a watch so I'm not sure exactly). Very easy. Just wanted to get my legs working before Saturday. Ran about 3.5 miles for a cooldown. Accidentally stepped on a sparrow while running. It flew across the path at ground level right as my right foot was coming down. I heard a crunching sound and saw the bird just lying there dead with its guts all over the place. I had blood all over my shoes and felt sick to my stomach about it for the rest of the run. When I came back 20 minutes later the dead bird was gone.
