5x400(20) even. 6:18, 6:06, 6:16, 6:26, 6:20. I was still looking for my stroke on the first 400 even though we had warmed up. On the second 400, I was drafting behind Marty, but I didn't have enough energy to pass him, so after that rep we split the lane. I don't know why my time was 6:26 on the fourth rep. It felt good and my stroke seemed smooth. I may have been getting tired, but the time came back down in the fifth rep.
I've been focusing on my hands and wrists... trying to keep them angled properly and my fingers together. When the hand enters the water, I feel like I'm OK. I have to concentrate more when I finish my stroke to be sure the wrist doesn't bend. So far so good: it just needs to be burned into muscle memory.
