Exercise Type: Run
Comments:
I began the day of training by warming up and jogging to this network of trails on which I often do steady runs. There are two, long, rolling dirt straightaways which connect at their endpoints. Once there, I did tempo pace intervals along each of them a few times, some shorter, some longer with recovery in between. For my final interval I ran both paths and then exited onto the road where I pushed the pace up the hill leading back into my neighborhood. I cooled down for a little bit and the gave a tempo effort over the last 300m back to my house. I did six striders, planks, leg lifts and clams. For a great deal of the workout I felt as though I was in oxygen debt--although I could keep a consistent pace, breathing just didn't really help. It's good that my knee no longer hurts, but I still feel sore in general. The length of the whole excursion was 43 minutes, I did not time each interval.
| Distance | Duration | Pace | Interval Type | Shoes |
