Just Pull It

wayyyyy too many little black kids in the weight room. annoying as fuck.

started with 5x5 on the deadlift with 285lbs. no straps for the first 2 sets. the bar began slipping at the end of the first set. shoulda taken the warning for the second set but on the left side the bar just kinda fell out of my hand since i had an overhand grip. that happened after the 4th rep. overall DLs went well, but idk i think my back was rounding kind of hard. but after seeing some Jeff seid deadlifts it probably wasnt too bad after all. but my left erector was still kind of strained. about 6 inches higher up from the usual spot though.

Bent over rows. hit 4x8 with 175lbs, last set was a drop to 135 for 5 reps. it was really tough to pull the bar with control, so form kind of broke down a bit, but this is ok with rowing as long as i get the MMC with the upperback and lats. i mean im sore now so thats a positive sign. arms/grip strength was def suffereing due to the deadlifts.

Pullups. my least favorite exercise ever. aimed for 3x8. hit about 2x8 but struggled a shit ton to do it. grip/forearms were way pre-exhausted by now, at least the first 3 reps felt easy. so it was ok i guess. finished the last set in a different room, away from all the lil' nigglets. had to do like a 5 rep then some forced negatives.

i think i did curls now. def cant do the 80lb barbell since my arms have already been drained. did like 4x6 with 70lbs, last set was a dropset to 50. biceps/forearms pretty sore now


I didnt think i was having a great workout. but now that i think about it all things considered it was probably a miracle i did all that since im typically just finished after doing 5 sets of deadlifts, but not only did i do that but continued with some heavy ass rowing. i think from now on im only gonna do like 3x5 on the deads to preserve the CNS for the rest of the workout
