Comments:
finally its time to squat 2 plates. i woke up pretty tired. took about 20min to get outta bed. took a scoop and a half of craze.
warmed up with 135 and 185 this time. and also a rep with 205. i can stay upright pretty well.
Time for 225. first rep was nice and upright. same story with rep 2. at 3, the core was shaken and the lower back was used more. finished all 5 reps and to be honest it felt better than 220lbs last week. set 2 was pretty hard. i had to push with all i had, def leaned quite a bit. mustered all i had and approached the bar for set 3. and gave 100% focus to each rep. rep 4 and 5 got so hard that the other people watching me were worried that i was gonna collapse from the bar. but i got dis shit. after 3 sets of 225 that was quite enough on me.
i originally planned for a set of 185 and then a set of 135, but i decided that i wasnt as broken down as i expected but i couldnt do 225 anymore. so i did a set of 6 with 205, which was pretty tough. then a set of 8 with 185, and a set of 12 with 135. i decided that instead of accessory exercises like hack and leg press, i can use more volume on squats. did 3x8 with 135 RDL, which was really easy, did those nice and slow to fully activate the hamstrings. then 2x12 with 90lbs on the leg curl and then a set of like 20 with 45, tire out the hamstrings.
i was feeling really good at this point. well energized and mood elevated.
did 3x20 with 100lbs on the seated calf raise, followed with 3x12-15 with 4 plates per side on the leg press for calves. it was pretty good. time for abs. 3x12ish with 20lbs, got so zoned in during the set that i forgot how manyh reps i did an just kept going. Craze, lol.
wanted to do some curls since my bicep work has been comparatively low. wanted to do sets of 8 with 80lbs, but that was too much so i did 3x6 with 80lbs.
its days like this that remind me of why i love to lift. consistent and steady improvements, being able to do something that you couldnt do just 2 weeks ago, or being able to do something that you thought was ridiculous a few months back. coming out of the weight room satisfied and loving life.
