Traps like Rubish

March 27, 2014 (Night)

Exercise Type: Weights

Comments:
so back in the fall, I came up with my own idea that pullups were kind of redundant. kind of. its said that a well developed back is developed by deadlifts, rows and pullups. well if pullups work the lats and rows work the lats as well as traps and everything in between, then whats the point of pullups?? not to mention its much easier to overload with resistance on a rowing movement. in a video interview w/ Rubish, they asked how he developed such a bulletproof back, since his back is the most stand-out part of his physique. he said its from heavy deadlifts and rows over the years training in his basement. he said hes never had access to a lat pulldown, implying that hes never done pullups consistently either. BOOM. there ya go.

started w/ deficit deads. hit top sets of 2x6 w/ 285 from a 2 plate deficit. was it 3?? fuckkk.
felt like puking cuz of the water in my stomach and how much pressure being made by the belt.

Tbar rows w/ vbar grip. freakin killed it again. 190lbs for like 4x8. on the last set the weight was so heavy that the back of the barbell flew up even tho it was under a dumbell. ill need 2 dumbbels next time. did dropsets and got so freakin gassed and sore lower back and legs from stabilizing the rowing position.

Then did like a set of 8 with 185 barbell, hard as fuckk since i was incredibly fatigued. did Tbar machine 2x12 at 2 plate, then added a quarter for a 3 set dropset.

rowed 75lbs for 15 reps per side and hit failure. then... i think thats all for that
