Last time i benched heavy I managed pretty much 3x5 with 205lbs. wanted to align my workout closer to the Texas Method of a set of 5. went for 5 reps of 210lbs. but... i used a different bench this time and it messed everything up.  i was in the room w/ the lifting platforms and idk why i did it but things just didnt feel right today.  got 2 reps w/ 210, second rep the bar hit the safety at the bottom, then went for the 3rd rep, which got stuck just prior to lockout. i battled this one really hard. fought it for like at least 5 seconds, 5-10 seconds. but i gave out and had to release it onto the safeties. i said fuck it.  
went onto squats. hit 5x5 w/ 280lbs which is approx 90% of my previous 5RM at 325lbs.  it was tough but manageable. grinders but got thru it. exhausting as shit
