First Run of the New Year

Weather: Sunny, 33, snow e'erwhere

So, three days off wasn't exactly what I had wanted, now I'm back to it, and if I could get out with a foot of snow on the ground, I think I should be able to keep at it. No watch (probably for the better, it was pathetically slow), just headed out until I thought I was at at least a mile. Turned out to be within .06, not bad!

The snow was pretty treaturous and my quads were burning something fierce, but I made it through it. First 10th of a mile had tracks until the sledding hill, then I was completely trail blazing except for the times when the deer tracks wandered onto the trail and followed it a bit. It was pretty cool to be the first, kind of surprised actually after two days that no one else has been up to the trails, but I was glad, being the first to break the snow it a cool feeling.

City trail, didn't take the trail loop like i usually do because I was worried about the footing on the less maintained side, went up the access road to the first buildings, so I had a bit of uphill right off the bat on the return.
