First Day Back

Angrily typing this on my phone, as the website seems not to work on any other computer in my house. Luckily, my frustration is overpowered by the joy of running with the team again. We started out practice by getting new groups, named after running surfaces. I'm a concrete, and no Zeke, you're not a water. Anyways, we all started out in a larger clump down Wisconsin, but the concretes broke away from the Worn Bricks and Cobblestones at the Russian Embassy, where we turned around. Despite today being shorter than my usual winter break runs, it felt just as tiring. Perhaps it's because I'm actually holding a conversation with my group (Sahil and Noah B) as well as DZ, or maybe mapmyrun.com is innacurate, which would expalin a slightly "faster" pace over winter break. Whatever the reason, today felt on the faster end of conversational, but definitely within its limits. I'll try not to worry about pace or distance and just enjoy being with the team once again.
