its been a while since i went on a little spiel about music, and my friend mizer sent me a video for a song off death cab for cutie's new to be released album at the end of march, a week or two ago. its neat because death cab for cutie was my first favorite band, like why i began to listen to music. and what's even cooler is how long these guys have been pumping out consistently good music. like they have put out 8 albums since 1998 every 3 or so years. with some eps and other releases here and there too, along with that little postal service offshoot by ben gibbard. and while they haven't continued to be my favorites, and i dont even think i've actually heard every song they've released, its still really good music. my first cd was also one of theirs, a gift from an old friend who is literally the best gift giver the world has ever seen. people invited her to their birthdays just to get the gift. just kidding, she's also pretty cool. im excited for this new album though because there is a sick guitar solo in it that is not really expected in my opinion of their music but it just feels perfectly placed. the song is called black sun if you're interested!

fun fact: their video for you are a tourist off their last album was "the first live, scripted, one-take music video shoot". and i think that's pretty cool.
