Exercise Type: Run
Comments:
Up in New York this weekend for my Grandma's birthday. After taking yesterday off, I was a bit NYC Apartment-stir crazy and eager to get out for a run in the park. Despite visiting New York a fair amount, I've never run in the park, which was made evident to everybody else by my blatant disregard for running the counter-clockwise route. I started out going north on the West-Side drive, and soon found myself running along the East-Side somehow. It was pretty exiting to see so many others, and I sped it up past conversational at some points, but I took it easier in the second half of the run (partially because I got a bit lost). I felt pretty nasty in the first 10 minutes of my run and found myself checking my watch a lot but I soon got distracted and then enthralled, continually saying "just one more minute, then I'll turn around." The run ended up being a bit longer than I expected (I turned around at the Baseball field around 102nd st), but it was really fun and certainly more tiring than an average steady run.
