Exercise Type: Run
Comments:
So great to be back with my teammates and equally exiting to see new faces. Did a four minute warmup around the field at which we met (because the track is still under construction). This was my first summer rum with the full set of drills, so I was both a lot looser and unusually hot before we started the run. I ran with Noah, Sahil, Silas, Jackson, and Danny (from STA). We took Mass. Ave to Ward Circle, where we turned right on Nebraska and then turned right again at Wisconson. By the time we turned off Wisconsin onto the Garfield entrance to our starting point, it was around 23:00 minutes, so we continued onto Pilgrim road, which made a mini loop and spit us out right back onto Mass Ave before Garfield. The run started a little bit slower than my other runs so far, but quickly sped up. I felt great on Wisconsin, but I can imagine that our pace was quicker than ideal for upcoming longer training runs. I guess I'm still trying to get a sense of comfortable pacing. The hill on Pilgrim Rd was really rough, especially after passing by the original endpoint, but I got through it. Did planks (STA/NCS style), along with 2 sets of 40 deadbugs, 20 superpeople, and pushup progression (1 per each).
