Exercise Type: Run
Comments:
Went down Garfield, right on 35th, down Fulton until it turns into Normanstone, then along the Rock Creek Park trails alongside Rock Creek Parkway, Beach Drive, around the tunnel, and along the zoo. Pretty quiet run with Liam, Sahil, and a large group of STA guys. We all went out as a pack together, and, per Mark's advice, turned around at 21 in anticipation of a positive split on the way back due to the Fulton hill. I did indeed positive split, but only by 34 seconds, so perhaps in the future I can go a bit further on runs like this and still not go over the goal (which was 45, today). I got really hot on the way back, and despite staying hydrated, I was a bit lightheaded and clammy. That, along with a struggling rising freshman from STA, gave me reason to relax on the hill and talk to someone new. I felt a lot better about halfway through the hill, possibly due to all the shade. But instead of speeding up too much, I figured I would focus on form and breathing so that I could stick with John (I was also still hurting, just a bit less). Great to see Liam!
