Yes, the title is a reference to Hannah Avidon's post from yesterday. Like Liam, I kinda resent having to always give my runs a name retroactively, but what the heck. Today is my first day of grad school after all. Ran to MIT track at 9am and did the workout my BAA teammates did last night: 6 x 1000m w/ 200m jog after each, then 6x300m w/ 100m walk. The 1000m pieces were supposed to start at lactaid threshhold pace (faster than a half-marathon, but "comfortably hard") working down to 10k pace. Started 3:35 where I wasn't really panting at all, and worked down to 3:39 where I was breathing a bit hard almost the whole way. Stayed confident and managed the 80+ degree heat well. Good workout!
