We set out to Mount Greylock HS where most of the team did the following workout. I ran with Greg F. and Ross and felt pretty decent most of the time, though severely sleep deprived.

The 10-minute pickup involved running 600m, relaxing the pace each 200m from "getting out hard," to 3k, to 5k before settling into a 6 minute tempo, and then running another 600m, increasing from 5k to 3k to kick. 5-minute recovery, then the intervals at 5k, 3k for the 800 and 600, mile for the 400 and whatever you had left for the 200. Recoveries went 3 minutes, equal, equal and then one minute. Sarah says I still need to work on lifting my knees.

During my meeting with Nick, we developed a plan for me to run 50 miles this week and take the first half of next week easy in preparation for Doc Seeley on Wednesday; then proceed to train in the 60s until taking some time off during exams. I probably could have thought of this on my own, but it's nice to have him sanction it. He also agreed that I overdid things a bit in the summer.
