NESCAC Spectating at Wesleyan

October 31, 2015 (Morning)

Exercise Type: Other

Comments:
I already hit my target for the week, but I did consider doing a short, three-mile run. I was too busy all day watching our girls and boys dominate the conference to fit it in, and got home, had dinner, and started a 180-page reading assignment; by that time it didn't seem necessary with a long(ish) run in 12 hours.

Even so it doesn't feel right not to write anything and record for posterity some of today's events. The men's score was Williams 36, Amherst 61, with us placing 2, 4, 7, 9 and 14. Bijan (~24:50), Ben, Peter, Griffin, Todd. The women placed 3, 4, 5, 8, 10. "Culture of success" would be an understatement.

I'm feeling pretty optimistic about Wednesday. If I can just string together four 8-plus hour nights of sleep, I'm sure it will go well. I need to be bold in that first mile; at Westfield when I supposedly ran a 5:27, it felt like a jog. The hard work I will have to do in the middle, and doing it on a track, I think I can set myself up for that very well.
