Comments:
I wasn't playing around today. it was much colder (windier) than expected. I wanted to get those miles done. I was surprised that my first mile came in at 7-7:20 pace. And I ran even splits averaging 7:05 mile!
This is my 3rd fastest time since the new season. I have kind of been training like a pussy. Sure, I am going out and doing 6-8 miles, and stretching and doing sits and pushups afterwards. But so what. I am still just mostly trotting along at 7:30-8 minute mile pace and it shows in my racing. Last year at this time a hard workout was in starting out at 7 and finishing in the 6:30's.
My current goal is to get my 10k time back down in under 40minutes. I ran 46 minutes on Friday and today I was two minutes faster, running the 6.2 miles in 44:00.
