Is 6.27k an actual race distance?

September 4, 2009 (Afternoon)

Exercise Type: Run

Weather: 75-77 Sunny

Comments:
ran 6.27 k (apprently it was supposed to be a 6k but the course didn't work out so well and they just cut off the 8k course to make it close to 6k, but at least decided to measure it and tell everyone the actual distance) at University Ridge, tried to start out slower but still got sucked out as first k was 3:05-7? And first mile was 5:07, 2k in 6:19, 3 in 9:37, 2 mile in 10:20, 4 in 13:00, 5 in 16:20, then finish in 20:28, moved up pack from half mile to 2k when got to front of pack with a then 15 sec gap to the next guy in front so just sat with guy in front of pack for the rest of the race until last turn when opened up 6 second gap to finish, but by then gap to next guy was close to 30 seconds, finished 15th out of 60ish runners, only beat one uw (soon not to be uw) guy, limoni was 5th and garbe was 12th and may make the team, weather was a bit warm 75-77 and sunny out, not much shade on the course, rolling hills but nothing that bad, good footing throughout, warmed up and cooled down 2
