Exercise Type: Run
Comments:
We met at 7:30 but it was already 76 out and it just got hotter. We did a ten min warmup on the track, 400m tempo, and 6 strides. Amy and I did a seperate workout from everyone else. 2 sets of 2x200 (38-9) and a 400 (78). This was deffinatly one of the harder workouts we've done and the heat made it worse. The 200's were fine but the 400's were soo hard because they were basically the same pace. I was a little worried about hitting the paces because I always go off Lizzy but after the first one it was fine. My right calf was really tight and hurt a little. We did a 10min cooldown and footdrills. I happy that I'm running steeple at State Quals but the barriers make me really tired so I feel like I'm going so slowly and I never feel like I use the speed like in todays workout. I just never feel very satisfied with my steeple races.
