Somethings up... the last two days I've felt physically drained, there's a dull, yet sharp pain in my throat, and my lungs are definitely unable to intake the respective amount of air they should be able to, there's a dull pain in the center of my chest as well. The run was miserable, I wasn't thinking to myself, "PUSH YOURSELF MERTON! LETS GET TO VARSITY LEVEL ONE DAY!" I was thinking, "Merton... if you carry on I have no idea what will happen to you." This is no exaggeration either; I am really concerned about the whole situation, and the fact that I wasn't able to run my full mileage, let alone the fact that the mileage I did run failed to meet the pace that I normally run, it's leaving me feeling incredibly anxious. This sucks... is it just coincidence that this week is exam week? Last year I also had unexplained problems, despite the fact I'm almost 100% certain I know what's causing this. I'm going to play the rest of the week by ear. If I feel as if I NEED to run, I'm going to wait out an extra day to assure I've let myself heal, if not, I hope to be back at it by Monday, and if this isn't the case, a doctor's appointment is re-assuredly just around the corner. I will not put up with this...
