A Bird Augury?

I expected this run to be really terrible, I had just eaten lunch, I was tired, my feet hurt and it was warm out. However, this run turned out to be the best June run of all time. I felt really strong for a mid-June day. I might cool the pace a little next time, just to be sure I'm not overtraining. On the way back, I had just crossed the bridge over Mass Ave. when a hawk swooped out of the trees, flew straight at me and swooped back into the woods. It was an experience that was not to be missed. I ran how I felt today and while I was running downhill to the CCT and along it, I felt fast and strong. I was breathing a little bit, but I've been breathing on my slower steady runs as well. I did not try to keep up my pace on the hill returning from the trail, which was a good idea, made my run far better and will make for a pain-free weekend. I will do my strength tomorrow and not run until the start of my third week of summer training on Monday. I will be at GDS practice from Tuesday through Friday and then my training will get weird.
