went to sta today. I was hoping I might get to do a longer run but there wasn't anybody slow enough for me so I went with a 35 min group. It probably was not a bad thing for my knee and general health to have an easier day. It's also really cool that 35 min is now an easy and short day.
I ran with Alexa, an NCS girl who I used to play soccer with, a boy who didn't say a single word, and the NCS asst coach who used to run for Kenyon. It was nice to see Alexa again and actually acknowledge we know each other, which we hadn't done before. We went on Glover to the first intersection. out was about the same time as back (turned around at 17:21 and we started a bit past STA) despite the way back being all uphill. I gotta admit the last 5 min of steep hills from the trail back to STA didn't feel great but the rest felt good. realizing now I probably should have extended to help get to my needed mileage for the week.
not really sure what to think about my knee rn. It doesnt feel that bad on runs but it hurts after. On the other hand, it feels way better the next day or a few hours later than it previously. It seems to recover from an individual run much more quickly. A couple of weeks ago I did a 2 minute run and it hurt way worse for the next couple of days after. I think it makes sense to keep doing my PT and keep training but be careful. It has certainly improved. if it stops improving or worsens I'll back off more.
