Exercise Type: Run
Comments:
woke up this morning quite sore from my half workout yesterday, which was a little sad but oh well. decided not to lift since I was already sore and I didn't want to lift just for the sake of doing it--the point is to help my training. plus I'm lazy. my knee felt pretty good all day so I decided not to cancel as I was considering yesterday. ran with Abby and Rhianna at like 9 pm on the capital crescent from Georgetown which was nice and flat. They were kind enough to slow wayyyyyyyy down for me though they kept subconsciously speeding up. I actually never felt bad and wasn't hurting but I wanted to keep the pace slow nonetheless. The somewhat heated conversation helped with the monotony of the dark cct. I really enjoyed this run and I suspect I wouldn't have had I been on my own, particularly in the last couple miles. the lack of any hills whatsoever kept my breathing in check, which was just so nice. knee hurt a bit 5 miles in but I figured there was nothing I could do about it at that point and it subsided some. the ball of my foot on the right side of the left foot was also bothering me and I'm hoping its just a blister or something but I'm not sure. off day tomorrow will be very good.
I will continue to be quite sore tomorrow. this was my longest run of the summer by over 10 minutes, and although I felt pretty good throughout, I felt fatigued walking around after and did not join Abby and Rhianna in sprinting up the exorcist steps. I've done it enough times, thanks to Bobo and William.
