Felt sooooo good to see my family again (running wise and related wise). I had a blast on vacation, was gone for a month but it really didn't feel like it. I did not run every day while I was away but I did run. The first week I got there I went to two deep like really deep tissue massages. That caused me to not be able to run for about a whole week because my entire upper inner quad bruised up and walking/ moving became painful. As soon as I could I was running again. I definitely think the massage was a step in the right direction but I still feel discomfort based in the day. I left England for 2 weeks to go to other countries in Europe. Over those two weeks we walked 112 miles which is insane, some days we got up to 14 miles in a day. If I knew it was going to be a high intensity walking day I did not run in the morning because the last thing I wanted to do was injure myself....walking. The highest mileage I have gotten up to so far is 6 so I will probably run with the JV tomorrow at the fun run we will see. It wasn't until 2 days ago when I was doing hills in England that something clicked again and I finally enjoyed the run and felt as good running as I did last year. Today on the run I felt awesome aerobically, but the last two miles definitely caused a pulling in the problem area of my leg. Excited to see even more people tomorrow. I did run more than I logged, I just realised that my watch only saves a certain amount of runs. So there seems to be a two week period where I didn't run, but I did.
