1st Annual Warrior Mountain Classic

September 19, 2009 (Morning)

Exercise Type: Run

Weather: Warm

Comments:
The first Warrior Mountain Classic was a roaring success. It was good to see everyone (pretty much everyone!) enjoying a REAL cross country course. I heard a lot of positive comments from other teams and coaches. Rusty did a great job with putting this meet together!

So while this course isn't one to produce any new PRs, I'm sure it's one that will be remembered long after the 2009 season is over. And there is little doubt of the courses' most unforgettable feature -- the "hill". The rugged terrain really tested the mettle of our runners and I'm happy to report that Meridian rose to the occasion and represented themselves well. I was also quite impressed with the willing and ready spirit our team displaying in setting up the course, encouraging teammates and, heck, just being the best kids a coach could ask for.

Next stop on the Warrior train, Bob Firman (they say there's a hill but I'm not too worried). Great job to all!
