Exercise Type: Run
Comments:
This workout was interesting. Was really looking forward to it because it was one of my favourite ones from last year. Started off with Lizzy. I knew I was going slightly faster than tempo pace, but I felt comfortable so I kept on going. B then commented on the pace and how my stride looked too long for it to be tempo so I slowed it down a little bit. I didn't think I slowed it down that much...but maybe I did. I didn't really reach a point where I was tired during the workout aerobically I felt pretty decent the whole time. After I finished my 5 sets, I felt as if I could do the whole thing again. I would have loved to keep on going, but my leg was not feeling happy, my inner quad was starting to pull on the 4th set. Now a couple hours later at home, everything feels pretty bad. Will go and roll out tonight for a while to try and make sure my legs aren't like a mess tomorrow. It just really really really angers me how I can;t even go on one run without feeling like I have just hurt myself. I have now gone about a year without experiencing a run where I am not in discomfort from my legs. Can;t wait for the day where I can wake up and walk without noticing nay level of pain. On another note, I was going to do my warm up for the workout along the black diamond trail, but found that it is all completely paved, only a tiny narrow strip of gravel which is so thin that its hard to run on. Sucks coz I loved long runs up that trail. Overall, reflecting back on it, I wish I had kept the pace a lot quicker for the while thing and had felt exhausted after 4 reps.
