time trial

eh well it didn't go great. I did PR, 5:50 for the full mile, so like 5:48 for the 1600, a 3 second PR. My goal was always unrealistic so I can't be too disappointed. I'm not really in mile shape. I probably should ahve done a 5k. All of the girls who did it ran super well, which was so exciting. It looks like there is gonna be a running club for the first time, so I'll have people to train with for the rest of the year still. There's gonna be practice 7 days a week and 2 workouts a week and maybe even some open races. So that will definitely be fun and I'll still be able to keep training and get better for next year. This time trial turned out to be kind of a bad idea. I strained a muscle from a coughing fit and doing this made it quite a bit worse. Wednesday night I was in a lot of pain w/ any movement. I went to the health center and they told me I can't exercise until its better and it could take up to 4-6 weeks. Hopefully it doesn't take quite that long.
