Exercise Type: Run
Comments:
Ran my go-to run through Glen Echo Park and down MacArthur, turning at around twenty and a half minutes. The past week, my right knee has been up and down. There have been good days, and some not so good days. Unfortunately, today was not a good day, it was probably the worst. The same part of my right knee was hurting, and it was stiffer than it usually is. What made it so much worse was that I felt it in my left knee in the same exact spot, which hurt even more than my right knee. The sharp pain on the tendons behind my knees make the entire knee extremely sore, which rendered the last 3/4 of a mile of my run incredibly difficult. It still hurts to walk even an hour after my run; the pain was minimal before the run. I'm keeping an extremely close eye on it now and plan to see Veronica soon. Keeping up with my icing and rolling, although rolling today hurt a lot, especially rolling my hamstrings. Hopefully, tomorrow will be better. The problem is, cross training on a bike doesn't really help that much because even now the lowest resistance puts a lot of pressure on my knees, and feels a lot worse than running does. I'll plan for a very light day of running tomorrow.
