Exercise Type: Run
Comments:
I woke up with a sore throat and I didn't feel great so I wasn't to thrilled about racing. I didn't feel great on the warmup and after each stride I felt really out-of-breath and lightheaded. Ingrid and I warmed-up up a bit too early so we were waiting around for awhile, at least long enough for me to get nervous. I felt surprisingly good during the race though. My time was crappy but the race overall was a big confidence booster because I knew if I could easily run 5:25 while sick that I could cut down on that quite a bit in the future. I really felt like I was cruising and I actually kind of enjoyed it. I started to feel it after a few laps but I still felt decent. Looking back I know that I settled a lot and I could have gone faster even though I was sick. I started gaining on Maeve towards the end and I definitely should have been able to catch her. I felt so much better after my race, I guess it cleared my head a bit and I was so full of energy. Ingrid and I had a really good cooldown then we just chilled and watch the other races. Overall a pretty good meet.
