Exercise Type: Run
Comments:
Ran over to AU and helped pace Matt S to a sub-six mile. I ran behind, with Anthony on the side and Aaron in front, for three laps. The plan was for me to give it all I had on the fourth lap to work on my turnover, and I ended up running it in about 68 seconds. Obviously, this doesn't really do anything for me training-wise, but it felt good to know that I could speed up like that two days in a row, and it's really the first time this season that I've felt like I've had a kick, so it was just really good mentally for me to do it. I'm proud of Matt for sticking through that 16! It was lots of fun and I got made fun of and got called Dad for tucking in my shirt for the time trial. The season's coming to a close, but these past two days have had some of the highest energy on the team this winter. Afterwards, meandered behind Anthony's group with Will the whole way, and had a good conversation. Was sore earlier, but felt fine after warmups. Plan to ice a lot tonight. Crunch/pushup progression before the run. Also: I ran the same mile time that I ran for BOTH of my miles in the 32 yesterday... what are the chances of that? Even with the weird pacing today.
