Outdoor Intrasquad Meet

Comments:
Today we ran the Outdoor Intrasquad Meet at the ELH track. It was the first 70 degree day out, so it was a bit warm, but a beautiful day out.

I ran the 1500m first and soloed a 4:15 all by myself. I went out insanely fast in 63 and 2:10 to get away from the field and died a bit after that, with no one to push me. I was pretty happy with that time for having no competition.

The 800 went pretty bad, because I was pretty pooped and didn't warm up well. I tried to make a move at the 400m mark, but i died out, went through the 600 in 1:34 and jogged to the finish. I wasn't too mad, though, because I had a good 1500.

I ran the 200 in my free distance, because I accidentally signed up for it lol. I couldn't gain any speed, because my shoe was too loose. But it was a good speed effort at the end of the 800.

Overall, I had one good solo race, so I was satisfied. I got the Tower Guide 5K on Sunday, so the weekend race has only just begun.
