Comments:
For some reason I didn't get nervous before the 4x800 and I felt pretty confident that we could win. I had a pretty good race but I started kicking late, I should have gone with 300m to go but instead I was like sprinting at the last 200 and it wasn't an efficient use of my energy. I caught the Elmira girl but if I had tried sooner I would have gotten a bigger lead on her and we might have won. Also I really wish I had anchored. I really felt it after the last 200 but overall it felt way too easy, I pr-ed (2:26) but I know I can run faster. Emma was a good bit ahead of the Elmira girl for most of it but she hit a wall right at the end. I did a cooldown with Zoe, Ingrid and Carmen and during it I notice that my actually back felt really good! That was a huge blessing and it made the meet so much more enjoyable. I hung my legs for a bit then got ready for the open 800. Zoe and I were both getting really nervous and she ate a bit too much. The race was pretty awful overall. It went out pretty fast and Zoe and I boxed in Jess for a little bit. We both fell off the the faster pack and it was just us and some Elmira girl. I got 6th overall which was nice but I ran 2:28 and just overall I was not happy with the race. I don't think I raced it well and I wanted to run 2:23 but I didn't even run faster than the relay. I got a really bad cramp after the 8. The 4x400 was very stressful because we had to beat Corning in order to win the meet. I was pleased with my race, I felt like I had good control of my arms/form and it felt really fast. It was really disappointing that I ran a 64 also Corning ended up beating us. I started getting a scratchy throat towards the end which I was annoyed about but it's good that it happened after.
