Exercise Type: Run

Weather: still 77 degrees, but so much better than during the day

So I kind of forgot about my run until after dinner and a huge cup of coffee. I wasn't about to be under mileage again this week, so I left at 10:50 to do the 5 mile oak view/liberty hill loop. I went out pretty fast (first mile in 6:47) but since it wasn't balls-hot and I was on roads, it didn't seem too out of the ordinary. I felt really good, like I was pretty much keeping up the pace, until about 3.5 miles in when I realized that I had to poop pretty badly--not horribly, but pretty badly. I made it to 4 miles in 26:29 (apparently I'd sped up since the first mile) before I had to stop and walk due to bowel-related issues. I won't get into the details, but basically, I walked back to my house after a quick break behind a guard rail in a semi-ditch (thank god it was dark out) then jogged back to the place where I'd stopped to finish my last 0.95 miles in 6:02.
Everything other than the last mile felt incredibly great and smooth, and even though it was a short run, it still felt great to run that pace comfortably, and honestly, I felt like I could have kept going for a while. If it weren't for the poops, that is. The last mile was a little tougher, but it was also a little faster.
